    I. Public resources

    1. Free courses leading to certificate or award

    a. Master Teacher Training (MTT) programme

    Inspired by the BUILD-IT project, our annual Master Teacher Training (MTT) course provides short-term training for academic staff from partner universities. The free program was hosted and certified by LHU. Expanding our reach, last year's course welcomed a diverse group of educators, including our academic staff and faculty members from our partner, Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

    The curriculum foused on enhancing pedagogical expertise, integrating technology in education, and teaching responsible and ethical use of AI. Topics included Bloom's Taxonomy, Kolb's Learning Styles, and fostering collaborative learning. The program was conducted in a hybrid format, with main presentations at LHU and remote participation from our partner.

    b. AI Courses and Workshops

    Our courses and workshops emphasize responsible, ethical, and critical use of AI in a rapidly changing technological world. ensuring AI use aligns with our sustainability commitments while avoiding misuse, and addressing risks such as AI hallucinations.

    a. Internal workshops organized by the university

    • Redesigning Classroom Assessments: Designing authentic and critical assessments to prepare students for responsible AI use in work and society.
    • Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges in the Digital Age.

    b. Co-organized with external partners

    • Digital Marketing Course for lecturers and students of LHU, in collaboration with ENS-GoDigital and The Gioi Di Dong & Dien May Xanh (hybrid mode: online and offline).

    • Redesigning Assessment in the Age of AI.
    • AI Pedagogy: Integrating 5E and TPACK models; creating simulations with Canva AI; using NotebookLM in teaching and research; developing digital learning resources; generating AI-powered presentations.

    • For Students

    • Digital Skills Course (compulsory interdisciplinary course for all majors):
      • Applying AI to strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving.
      • Avoiding misuse and over-reliance on AI.
      • Based on NXthinking philosophy: Big Picture, Connections, Perspectives, Future Vision, and Change for desired outcomes.

    2. Free access to campus facilities and equipment

    Lac Hong University offers free programs for local school students, including technology and science courses, hands-on campus experiences, “A Day as a University Student”. Permanent residents may register for a free library card, accessing print collections and modern facilities during regular hours. These opportunities foster lifelong learning while inspiring future generations to explore knowledge without barriers.

    3. Free access to online resources

    Lac Hong University provides international students in short-term cultural exchange programs with free access to its online educational resources, including e-libraries and research databases. Additionally, the university offers public access to scientific research through the Lac Hong Science Journal website, fostering knowledge sharing, academic collaboration, and global engagement in science and education.

    II. Public events

    Lac Hong University regularly organizes events that are open to the public with free admission. The events comprise both ad hoc initiatives and regularly programmed activities.

    a. Lac Hong University organizes the China Study Abroad Exhibition 2024

    On May 11, 2024, Lac Hong University, in collaboration with Gia Thanh International Trading and Service Co., Ltd., successfully organized the China Study Abroad Exhibition 2024.

    The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, along with representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai Province.

    The exhibition attracted eight universities from Anhui Province, China, including:

    • Anhui University of Finance and Economics

    • Huaibei Normal University

    • Suzhou University

    • University of Science and Technology of China

    • Anhui University of Chinese Medicine

    • Anhui University

    • Anhui University of Science and Technology

    • Fuyang Normal University

    The China Study Abroad Exhibition 2024 aimed to provide students of Lac Hong University, as well as those from other universities in Dong Nai Province and neighboring regions, with the opportunity to learn directly about the Chinese education system, obtain official information about studying abroad, and explore various scholarship opportunities such as the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), the Confucius Institute Scholarship (CIS), and other scholarships offered by local governments and Chinese universities.

    b. Japanese Doll Festival and Paper Doll Bookmark Workshop

    On March 1, 2024, the Japanese Doll Festival  "ひな祭り" (Hina Matsuri) Exhibition and Paper Doll Bookmark Workshop were successfully held at Campus 1 of Lac Hong University. The Japanese Studies Department extends its sincere thanks to the 1,020 elementary school students, over 100 university students, and distinguished guests who enthusiastically participated in this special cultural event.

    We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the guest speakers, Mr. Nguyen Tu Tuan and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Nha, for sharing their valuable insights and knowledge with all attendees.

    The exhibition offered a wonderful opportunity for students and visitors to explore the beauty of Japanese culture and traditions through the art of doll display. Participants were introduced to various types of dolls such as Imperial Court Dolls, Ichimatsu Dolls, Kimekomi Dolls, Kokeshi Dolls, and Echizen Bamboo Dolls, gaining a deeper understanding of the origins of the Doll Festival and the unique characteristics of each doll type and region.

    Following the exhibition, attendees took part in the paper doll bookmark-making workshop — a creative and meaningful hands-on activity that allowed them to design and decorate their own unique bookmarks. Through their creativity and craftsmanship, participants produced beautiful and personalized works that brought joy, excitement, and a sense of connection among everyone involved.

    The success of this event was made possible by the presence and support of all participants. We hope that everyone left with memorable experiences, newfound inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the traditional and creative art of Japanese dolls.

    III. Vocational training events

    Our Lac Hong Foreign Languages - IT Center offers vocational training in office informatics on a programmed basis. The center also provides an ad-hoc course on computer assembly and installation. These courses are open to both our students, staff, and the wider community.

    For executive education programmes, the Soft Skills Department of our Office of Academic Affairs provides essential courses such as public speaking, teamwork, negotiation, and startup skills, all tailored for students.

    Additionally, we offer lifelong learning courses designed for adults, including office administration skills and conversational language classes in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, to help them enhance their professional and personal lives.

    IV. Education outreach activities beyond campus

    The events comprise both ad hoc initiatives and regularly programmed activities.

    a. TEACHING KOREAN IN THE LOCAL SCHOOL

    The Korean Studies Department of Lac Hong University, in partnership with the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training and Visang Education Vietnam, launched a pilot programme to teach Korean in local high schools. Supported by KOICA and the Vietnam–Korea Friendship Association, the program combines in-person and online learning, enriching foreign language education and fostering international integration in Dong Nai. 

    b. AI WORKSHOPS

    Our courses and workshops emphasize responsible, ethical, and critical use of AI in a rapidly changing technological world. ensuring AI use aligns with our sustainability commitments while avoiding misuse, and addressing risks such as AI hallucinations.

    • On-site AI Training: LHU experts deliver training at primary, secondary, and high schools.
    • Online AI Courses: Focused on teachers in disadvantaged or hard-to-reach areas.
    • Practical Guidance: Creating digital learning resources, designing assessments, and providing feedback for personalized learning.
    • Workshop Series: Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Teaching – for primary, secondary, and high school teachers.
