340 blood units collected at 52nd blood donation program

The Youth Union - Student Association of LHU on April 25, 2025 in collaboration with the Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association and the Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital in HCM City successfully organized the 52nd blood donation program. The program also received the companionship and sponsorship from C.P Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company.

This annual activity carries profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and compassion of the university’s faculty members and students. The program is also part of a series of practical activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).

Under the slogan "A drop of blood given, a life saved" the program attracted the participation of over 500 registrations from faculty members and students. As a result, the Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital received 340 valuable units of blood.

The donated blood will be delivered to hospitals and medical facilities, helping to save the lives of many patients in urgent need of blood transfusions and treatments. This meaningful activity not only spreads the spirit of mutual support and love among students but also serves as an opportunity to educate youth union members and young people about compassion, community responsibility, and living for the betterment of society.

On the occasion, LHU proudly received a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in recognition of its excellent achievements in mobilizing voluntary blood donations in 2024. The University was also awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Dong Nai People's Committee for its outstanding performance in voluntary blood donation mobilization in 2023.

The voluntary blood donation program once again affirms the pioneering and volunteer spirit for community life of LHU’s youth, contributing to bringing joy, life, and hope to patients in need of blood.
