LHU Civil Engineering students receive scholarships from Tien Phong Plastics Company

At the “Univers Tour Tien Phong Nam” workshop held on March 18, 2026, students from the Civil Engineering program, Faculty of Civil Engineering, LHU received recognition from industry through five scholarships with a total value of VND 20 million, sponsored by Tien Phong Southern Plastics Joint Stock Company.

The scholarships not only provide financial support but also demonstrate the Company’s commitment to accompanying students throughout their academic journey. They are awarded based on an evaluation of students’ competencies aligned with industry practice, showing that students can gain recognition from industry even while they are still at university.

Representing Tien Phong Plastics Company, Mr. Le Van Thu, Sales Director, emphasized that the growth of an enterprise is closely linked to the next generation of engineers. He highly appreciated the proactiveness and learning spirit demonstrated by students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering – LHU during academic activities and specialized workshops.

Enterprise-integrated courses helping students connect theory with practice

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, "In addition to connecting students with enterprise scholarships, the Faculty also integrates practical learning experiences into the curriculum through site visits and projects of strategic importance at both local and national levels. These activities help students better understand the relationship between theoretical knowledge and real-world construction practice".

Student representative Hoang Ngoc Thao, one of the scholarship recipients, shared that the scholarship serves as strong motivation for her to continue striving in her studies. She noted that although the Civil Engineering field can be challenging, the program offers diverse learning modules that expand career opportunities after graduation. Early exposure to enterprises, even from the first year, also helps students better visualize their future working environment.

In recent years, the Faculty of Civil Engineering has actively organized various industry engagement activities, including specialized workshops, site visits, and hands-on experiences with construction materials. The awarding of scholarships to students during their studies not only recognizes their efforts but also highlights the growing collaboration between LHU and industry partners in developing high-quality human resources for the construction sector.
