The Chinese Language De. in collaboration with the IRO received a delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, the Chinese CG in HCMC and the China Language CI

 

On the morning of April 24th, 2023, at the conference room and room B203, Campus 1, there was a reception for the delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Confucius Institute Headquarters visiting and working with the leaders of Lac Hong University.

The Chinese Embassy’s delegation was led by Mr. Zheng Dawei - Education Counselor; Mr. Wang Dingquan - First Secretary. The Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City was represented by Mr. Xu Zhou - Deputy Consul General; Mr Zeng Ziwei - Consular Attaché. The Confucius Institute Headquarters’ delegation included Mr. Ma Tianfei - Executive Director; Mr. Deng Liansuo - General Affairs Director; Mr. Wang Yong - Development Planning Director; Mr. He Zixian - Testing and Scholarships Director.

Representing Dong Nai provincial leaders, there was Mr. Tran Quoc Toan - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs. Lac Hong University was represented by Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty; MA. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of International Relations Office and Deputy Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty; MA. Hoang Tien Dung - Deputy Head of International Relations Office; MA. Phan The Anh - Head of Chinese Language Department; MA. Luong Van Huy - Head of Chinese Language Division.

At the reception, witnessed by the Chinese Embassy, the Chinese Consulate General in Vietnam and the Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai province, Lac Hong University officially signed an MOU on the 3+2 joint training program with the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban). The leaders of both sides wished that many students of Chinese language at Lac Hong University would receive scholarships to study abroad in China through this program. Within the framework of this cooperation, Hanban will grant 20 full scholarships annually for students of Chinese Language Department to study at Liaodong University, China.

In addition, the delegation also had an exchange with students of Chinese language. At the exchange, the leaders shared and answered questions and concerns of the students regarding applying for scholarships and studying abroad in China.
