[FAIE: Economic Law] “Opinion Arena” Competition: Developing Skills, Refining Thinking

The “Opinion Arena” competition is not merely an academic platform but also an excellent opportunity for students to practice and develop essential skills in the digital era. After the competition, many students shared positive reflections: “I feel much more confident presenting and defending my viewpoints in front of an audience. The competition truly helped me sharpen my critical thinking and learn how to create communication videos that are effective and engaging.” This is clear evidence of the values that “Opinion Arena” brings, enabling students to develop comprehensively, especially in communication and promotion for organizations and individuals.

“Opinion Arena” was organized in the format of an individual online video competition, creating an unlimited creative space for contestants. Participants submitted their competition videos to the Organizing Committee, after which the videos were posted on the official fanpage of the Economic Law Club. This not only allowed students to showcase their talents to the community but also provided each contestant with the opportunity to become an “inspirational figure” by calling for interaction and generating a spreading effect for their submissions. It was a valuable practical experience in personal branding and digital skills.

To ensure fairness and to encourage both professional competence and communication skills, the final results of the competition were evaluated based on two main components:

60% of the total score: Awarded by the professional Jury Panel. The Jury Panel, consisting of lecturers and alumni, carefully assessed the content, logical coherence, persuasiveness, creativity, and presentation skills of each contestant.

40% of the total score: Calculated based on the level of interaction (shares, likes, comments) of the competition entries on the Economic Law Club’s fanpage. This factor not only reflected the reach of the videos but also demonstrated each contestant’s ability to communicate and attract attention from the online community.

The Economic Law Club would like to extend its sincere congratulations to the contestants who achieved outstanding results in this year’s “Opinion Arena” competition. Your dedication, talent, and spirit of learning contributed to a highly successful and memorable season:
