Strengthening collaboration in digital transformation and social responsibility

    Dong Nai - Oct 14

Lac Hong University and the People’s Committee of Thanh Son Commune have officially signed a cooperation agreement to jointly implement initiatives on digital transformation and social responsibility.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice Rector of Lac Hong University, emphasized that the university’s core mission encompasses education, scientific research, and community service. Among these, community service is defined as the transfer of academic knowledge and technological advancements to society and local communities. Lac Hong University has selected Thanh Son Commune as a pilot site to implement this mission and hopes to expand similar initiatives in the near future.

Following the signing, Lac Hong University will assign a team of experts to support the Thanh Son Commune People’s Committee in preparing the necessary infrastructure and resources to meet the requirements of digital transformation. The university will also provide technical guidance on applying artificial intelligence (AI) in public administration management, thereby promoting efficiency, transparency, and innovation in local governance.

During the cooperation period, the university will allocate a portion of its budget to provide scholarships for disadvantaged yet high-achieving students, offer tuition reductions for students from ethnic minority groups and underprivileged families in the commune who enroll at Lac Hong University, and coordinate with local authorities to organize awareness campaigns on environmental protection and sustainable development.

Mr. Vo Van Trung, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Thanh Son Commune People’s Committee, expressed his hope that, following the agreement, both parties will promptly implement joint activities. In addition to the initiatives proposed by Lac Hong University, the local leadership expects the university to further develop supportive policies for Thanh Son students and to continue contributing to social welfare and community development in the area.
