[FAIE] Essential Skills and Knowledge for Students During Internships at Enterprises

There are journeys in student life that are not measured by grades, yet they carry values far beyond academic boundaries. Among them, the internship period serves as the first gateway for students stepping into the real professional world. It is a pivotal stage where theoretical thinking transforms into action-oriented thinking, where observation turns into experience, and where learners begin becoming practitioners.

To accompany students on this important journey, the Faculty of Management – International Economics, Lac Hong University, organized a seminar titled: “Essential Skills and Knowledge for Students During Internships at Enterprises”, held on the morning of April 24, 2025, at Hall A301.

The seminar was honored to welcome distinguished guests:

From the Faculty of Management – International Economics:

    • Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân – Dean of the Faculty

    • Ms. Tạ Thị Thanh Hương, M.A. – Vice Dean

Industry experts and enterprise representatives included:

    • Mr. Hoàng Hải Thủy – Deputy Sales Director, Viettel Post Dong Nai

    • Mr. Phạm Viết Thôn – Representative, Super Speed Logistics JSC – Southern Branch

    • Mr. Hoàng Quốc Đạt – Director, Hoàng Đăng Phát Travel Co., Ltd.

    • Mr. Nguyễn Anh Dũng – Head of Human Resources, C.P Vietnam Livestock Corporation

    • Mr. Nguyễn Văn Ry – Legal Specialist, Dong Nai Legal Consultancy Center – Bien Hoa Branch

    •

The event was also attended by faculty members and more than 200 students from the Faculty of Management – International Economics.

The seminar was not merely a theoretical lecture. Each sharing reflected real insights from the labor market—a message from those who have walked the path to those who are about to begin.

The speakers highlighted indispensable skills for students: professional working style, a continuous learning mindset, communication skills, adaptability, and proactiveness—all emphasized as key factors determining success during internships and throughout future careers.

Above all, the strongest message students took away that morning was:

“An internship is not just about completing a course requirement—it is about discovering yourself in the real world.”

The interactive session between students and speakers created a warm and open atmosphere where common concerns and uncertainties of senior students were sincerely addressed. Honest and encouraging responses from the speakers strengthened students’ confidence—reminding them that no one starts perfectly, but everyone can grow if they are willing to learn with an open mind.

The seminar concluded with a meaningful connection among lecturers, enterprises, and students. On the internship journey ahead, students are not alone—both the university and businesses stand beside them. Be bold in taking your steps forward, and opportunities will follow. Turn your internship into one of the most memorable periods of your university life. Learn wholeheartedly, work diligently, and embrace challenges with courage.

Wishing all students a successful internship season—rich in experience, inspiration, and lasting value for the future.
