    [FAIE: Marketing] What Does a Second-Year Marketing Student Say About LHU?

    My name is Do Nguyen Thao Van, a second-year Marketing student at Lac Hong University. Two years of studying at this University have not only been a period of acquiring knowledge but also a journey of remarkable personal growth through the valuable experiences the University has provided.

    Memorable Activities

    The University consistently creates opportunities for us to study and develop comprehensively. One of the most remarkable experiences was participating in company visits, where I was able to observe and learn about real-world operations at major enterprises. A notable example was taking part in the Mee Connect internship program at MobiFone, where we had the opportunity to explore modern operational processes, a professional working environment, and the values that enterprises bring to the community. In addition, we were fortunate to meet and speak with senior colleagues, listening to their practical experiences and career orientation advice within the industry. The trip helped me gain a clearer understanding of how a telecommunications enterprise operates, from system management and service optimization to customer care. Moreover, the program provided opportunities to develop critical thinking and apply academic knowledge in practical settings through experiential activities. This experience not only broadened my knowledge but also strongly inspired me to strive further in my academic and professional journey.

    In addition, our major has a Marketing Club—an environment where I can interact and learn from senior students. It is an ideal space for exchanging knowledge, sharing experiences, and growing together. One of the special activities I participated in was organizing a practical program. From generating ideas and planning to implementation, everything was a new challenge. However, it was precisely these challenges that helped me improve my teamwork skills, time management abilities, and sense of responsibility for assigned tasks.

    The Support of Lecturers

    What makes me feel most fortunate is the dedication of the lecturers in our major. The Marketing lecturers are not only academically strong but also enthusiastic and approachable in supporting students. My academic advisor, MB Hoang Thi Thanh Chung, has always accompanied and supported us wholeheartedly. MB Phan Van Hai is always willing to share practical experiences and provide dedicated guidance whenever we encounter difficulties in our studies or projects. Every piece of advice and every lecture from our lecturers serves as valuable preparation, helping me feel more confident as I step into the professional world.

    Reflections on the University, the Major, and the Club

    Regarding the University: Lac Hong University gives me a sense of familiarity and security. With modern and well-equipped facilities and a dynamic learning atmosphere, the University motivates me to strive every day. LHU always makes me proud with its motto: “Learning through Practice – Professional Application.”

    Regarding the Marketing major: This is truly an engaging field of study that suits me well. The curriculum combines theory and practice, enabling me to master knowledge and apply it immediately in real-life contexts. Each course is designed to inspire students and accurately reflect industry requirements.

    Regarding the Marketing Club: The Marketing Club is not only a place for interaction and learning but also my second home at the University. It offers opportunities that regular classroom participation alone cannot provide. Each club activity serves as a stepping stone for me to discover my capabilities and gain clearer direction for my future career path. For example, when participating in a communications project, I was able to practice developing a marketing plan, creating content, organizing events, and analyzing results—experiences that theoretical study alone could never fully offer.

    Moreover, participating in the Club has helped me develop essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and time management—critical competencies for succeeding in the workplace. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to expand my professional network, work with experienced seniors, and meet industry experts. Compared to merely attending classes, the Marketing Club provides me with a significant advantage: not only practical knowledge but also valuable experiences that empower me to confidently face any future challenge.

    Over the past two years at Lac Hong University, I have grown not only in knowledge but also in practical skills, thanks to the valuable experiences offered by the Marketing major in general and the Marketing Club in particular. The Club has helped me discover myself, develop my skills, and build lasting relationships.
